Opening an account with SynQuest Laboratories

Customer Service

When you are ready to place your first order with SynQuest Laboratories, Inc. (herein after referred to as “SynQuest”) please call Customer Service to open an account. Your Customer Service representative will request information about your business and shipping and billing information. To establish a line of credit, we will require a completed credit application form. However, to expedite your first order, please have a credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Amex) available.

Pricing

Catalog product prices are shown in US dollars. Though we strive to maintain an accurate product list, pricing is occasionally subject to change. Customer service can confirm current prices. For other pack sizes, or for larger quantities please call, or e-mail info@synquestlabs.com, for a quotation.

Inquiries

Inquiries should include at least both the SynQuest product number and catalog name, and also the CAS number if available. Note: CAS numbers have been included online for all products which have a CAS number assigned. Please specify the quantity required and price. If you have specific packaging requirements please note them on your inquiry and order– for example 2 x 25 g may be shipped as 1 x 50 g unless you include the instruction “Package as 2 x 25 g”. A Pro Forma Invoice can be supplied if requested.

Orders

Orders are accepted by phone Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm EST. Orders can be placed by Fax or e-mail 24 hours a day – acknowledgement of such orders will made during normal office hours. In most cases stock items will ship within 24 hours of order receipt. There are occasions when a particular product, or packaging or other circumstance may preclude this. Your Customer Service Representative will confirm the estimated shipping schedule with you when your order is placed.

Backorders

In the event the product you require is not in stock, your Customer Service Representative will advise you as to the expected ship date. Any changes in delivery will be communicated promptly.

Payment Methods

We accept payments by VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, checks, and wire transfer. Your Customer Service Representative can supply all pertinent bank information for wire transfers. Synquest does not accept personal credit cards.

Gases

Gases are packaged and shipped in accordance with domestic and international shipping regulations. Non-reusable cylinders will be charged at cost. A deposit is required when a returnable cylinder is used. Cylinder specifications are shown here. To return cylinders, please call Customer Service for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions. Cylinder returns without an RMA will be rejected and returned to the sender.

Returns

In the event that you need to return your order to SynQuest, please call Customer Service for return instructions. Returns may be subject to a restocking fee.

All returns require a pre-authorized Return Material Authorization (RMA).

Notification of queries and/or complaints must be made to SynQuest verbally or in writing within seven (7) days of receipt of goods and/or invoice, whichever is the latter.

Domestic Shipping Information

All orders are shipped FCA shipping point. Transportation charges will vary with the destination, weight/volume, and content of each shipment. Special packaging, such as poison packs or metal over-pack cans, may be necessary for safe delivery of certain hazardous chemicals. All special packaging, administrative, and freight charges are available on request and indicated on our invoices.

SynQuest complies with all Domestic and International regulations pertaining to the safe shipping of hazardous materials by air, ground or sea. UN numbers have been assigned to all hazardous materials (see CFR49) . There are items that are not permitted to ship by air (mainly toxic gases and inhalation hazards) and your Customer Service Representative will advise you if this is the case in regard to a particular product.

Synquest uses all major carriers, including Federal Express and UPS. Whenever possible we will ship by your preferred method. However, we reserve the right to change a requested method of shipment if it does not comply with regulations or, in our judgment, may not deliver a product safely.

International Shipping Information

The rules and restrictions governing the international transportation of chemical products are complex and onerous. We strive to ship all orders without delay and to minimize delivery costs within such regulatory rules. For this reason, we request that international orders have a minimum of $500.

Orders for delivery outside of the contiguous USA are dispatched FCA shipping point, via Air freight (Federal Express.) We request all delivery charges and carrier imposed hazmat fees will be billed to your Federal Express account. Let us know if this is not satisfactory. For door-to-door deliveries, all freight, duties and taxes will be billed collect to your Federal Express account. For door to airport deliveries, shipments will be made to the nearest airport which handles chemical shipments and Buyer will arrange customs clearance through an IATA approved broker or agent.
